About the project

The “Literary and Cultural Map of the Abay Region” is a modern digital platform dedicated to the literary, historical and cultural heritage of the region. The project gathers in one place information about outstanding writers, poets, scientists and cultural figures, as well as notable places, museums and landmarks of the Abay Region.

With the interactive map, users can explore the districts of the region, learn their history and discover interesting places. The encyclopedia presents the biographies and works of the people who made the region famous, while the gallery preserves a visual chronicle of the region.

The main goal of the project is to preserve the rich heritage of the Abay Region and make it accessible to a wide audience: residents and visitors, schoolchildren, students and researchers. The platform is available in three languages — Kazakh, Russian and English.
