Abay District
Abay District is inseparably linked with the great Kazakh poet and educator Abai Kunanbayev. The land of Zhidebay shaped his work and that of his followers — Shakarim and Mukhtar Auezov.
Today the district carefully preserves the literary heritage of the region.
