The “Literary Map of the Abai Region” project is a modern digital platform that brings together the cultural heritage of the region and makes it accessible to a wide audience. The initiative aims to systematize, preserve, and promote the literary and intellectual wealth of the Abai Region, presenting it in a convenient, interactive, and technological format. The platform allows users to explore the living geography of culture — places, events, and personalities that have shaped and continue to shape the spiritual space of the region.

The project was initiated and organized by the Университет имени Алихан Бокейханова, one of the leading scientific and educational centers in the country. Named after an outstanding statesman and public figure, the university has traditionally paid special attention to the development of humanities research, regional history, and cultural heritage studies. The university’s support and intellectual contribution became the foundation for creating a platform that combines academic accuracy, technological solutions, and a meaningful public mission.

The “Literary Map of the Abai Region” is not just a website but a digital encyclopedia that brings together information about writers, poets, researchers, cultural figures, and significant locations of the region. The interactive map allows users to virtually “travel” across the territory of the region, discovering biographies, archival materials, historical references, and the broader context of different historical periods.
